Well-Klean© Concentrate
Well-Klean© Concentrate is a proprietary base chemistry that works as a corrosion inhibitor, surfactant and sequestrant. It is used with hydrogen peroxide biocide and with Well-Klean© Descaler to increase chemical functionality while minimizing corrosion, and it is recommended in addition to the standard protocol for wire-wrap steel screens, older or compromised casings, and tube-and-shell heat exchangers.
Used in the Well-Klean© water well rehabilitation program · Catalyst and inhibitor for BC and Descaler · Applied by authorized dealers under a well-specific protocol · NSF/ANSI/CAN 60 listed (pipe cleaning, well cleaning and well rehabilitation aid; off-line use) · SDS & label
WHAT IS WELL-KLEAN© CONCENTRATE?
The catalyst and inhibitor behind the Well-Klean© chemistry.
On its own, hydrogen peroxide is an oxidizer that reacts with everything it touches, and acid is fast, corrosive and shallow. Used with the hydrogen peroxide biocide and with Descaler, Concentrate protects the casing and screen while the chemistry keeps working through the deposit.
For wells with the most to lose, wire-wrap steel screens, older or compromised casings and heat exchangers, Concentrate is prescribed on top of the standard protocol so the chemistry can do its work without adding corrosion to an asset that cannot afford it.
WHEN CONCENTRATE IS PRESCRIBED
Three well conditions that call for added protection.
WHERE CONCENTRATE FITS
Used with BC and Descaler, never instead of them.
Concentrate does not dissolve scale or degrade biofilm by itself. It is added to the hydrogen peroxide biocide and to Descaler so that each does more with less corrosion. Which wells get it, and at what rate, is decided in the well-specific protocol built from the well's own data.
DATA BEFORE CHEMISTRY
Casing alloy and age decide whether Concentrate is added.
HCT builds every scope of work from the well's data: casing alloy, age of the well, groundwater quality, water level, depth and diameter, perforation type, bacteria risk, pump depth and pumping rate. Concentrate is written in where the casing, screen or equipment needs the extra protection.
01
Casing alloy and age
Steel, stainless or PVC, and how long it has been in service, set the corrosion allowance.
02
Perforation type
Wire-wrap, slotted or louvered screens respond differently to a chemical soak.
03
Downhole video
Video review confirms the condition of the casing before the protocol is finalized.
PROTECTION
Less corrosion
The chemistry works on the deposit, not on the casing.
FUNCTION
More effective soak
Biocide and descaler keep working through the full cycle.
ASSET
Longer well life
Compromised wells are rehabilitated rather than replaced.
CASE STUDIES
Wells rehabilitated under the full Well-Klean© protocol.
NEXT STEP
Send HCT the well data. The protocol decides the chemistry.
Fill out the well data form and send it with a groundwater sample; HCT returns a preliminary scope that states whether Concentrate belongs in the treatment. Concentrate is sold and applied through authorized Well-Klean© dealers in 5-gallon pails (6-pail minimum order; pails can be mixed and matched), 30-gallon carboy drums, 55-gallon drums and 265-gallon totes.
