WaterSOLV™ BC

WaterSOLV™ BC is an organically inhibited, catalyzed hydrogen peroxide solution. It penetrates and breaks down the biofilm matrix, restores dissolved oxygen, and biodegrades to oxygen and water. It is the biology product in the WaterSOLV™ agriculture and turf programs and the bioremediation product in the Well-Klean© water well program.

WHAT IS WATERSOLV™ BC?

A bioremediation agent, not a disinfectant.

Chlorine kills free-floating bacteria on contact and was never designed to reach the organisms that build biofilm inside lines, root zones, screens and gravel packs. BC is different: an inhibited, catalyzed peroxide that penetrates the extracellular polymeric matrix, breaks it down and destroys the bacterial DNA inside it, including iron bacteria and sulfate-reducing bacteria.

It is classified non-corrosive, biodegrades to dissolved oxygen and water, and needs no neutralization or special disposal. In soils it is described as continuous chemical aerification: delivering oxygen with every irrigation while clearing the slime that seals the profile.

PROBLEMS BC ADDRESSES

Three places biology takes over, and what BC does there.

Black layer and anaerobic root zones

Slime, hydrogen sulfide odor and oxygen-deficient profiles. BC clears the biofilm and restores oxygen so the soil works aerobically again.

Biofilm in irrigation lines and shells

Bacteria and biofilm protect scale, salts and shell deposits inside emitters and heads. BC opens the barrier so the chemistry can reach the restriction.

Biofouled water wells

Nine out of ten declining wells are bacteria-colonized. BC degrades the polysaccharide matrix on screens, in the gravel pack and in the near-well formation.

WHERE BC FITS

One product, three programs.

BC is the biology layer of the WaterSOLV™ program and the bioremediation step of the Well-Klean© program. In agriculture and turf it is paired with Curative where a bacteria count shows biofilm or low oxygen is part of the restriction; in wells it is applied downhole by trained, certified users as part of a well-specific protocol.

AGRICULTURE

Crops on reclaimed or low-oxygen water

Injected through the irrigation system at a rate set from the water analysis and bacteria count. The Hemet grapefruit orchard ran BC at 1 ppm alongside Curative for a full season.

TURF & ORNAMENTAL

Black layer, slime and odor

Injected at the pump station where black matter, odor, polysaccharides or oxygen deficiency are part of the problem. On a rebuild-candidate green, BC and Curative reopened infiltration in 12 days.

WATER WELLS

Well-Klean© bioremediation

Applied by tremie pipe at 4–10% depending on severity, with a 72-hour soak per cycle and typically 2–3 cycles. Can be used with pump bowls in place. Users must be certified by HCT.

TESTING BEFORE TREATMENT

The bacteria count decides whether BC belongs in the program.

Legacy Analytical Bac-T analysis measures total bacteria plus the food sources feeding the two most damaging types: sulfate-reducing bacteria, behind black layer and hydrogen sulfide, and iron-reducing bacteria, behind biofilm and drainage failure. For wells, HCT collects the well's own data and groundwater sample before prescribing BC.

Shows whether biofilm and anaerobic activity are part of the problem and whether BC has to open the barrier first.

Irrigation water analysis

Reads the sodium, bicarbonate and hardness working against the biology and sets the Curative rate that runs alongside BC.

For wells: casing alloy, depth, groundwater quality, perforation type and a downhole video decide the BC concentration and cycles.
