WaterSOLV™ Curative Organic

WaterSOLV™ Curative Organic is the OMRI Listed formulation of Curative for organic production systems under the National Organic Program. Like Curative, it is an acid that operates on ion exchange rather than pH reduction, correcting hard water, bicarbonates, salts and the infiltration and nutrient-availability problems they cause. Use rates and calculations are the same as Curative.

WHAT IS WATERSOLV™ CURATIVE ORGANIC?

Curative chemistry, listed for organic operations.

WaterSOLV™ Curative Organic is OMRI Listed — Allowed with Restrictions (Organic Materials Review Institute product code hct-15405; category NOP: Copper Sulfate; use class Crop Pest, Weed, and Disease Control; listed 27-Aug-2021; current listing expires 1-Sep-2027). See the current OMRI certificate for use conditions. Use in certified organic operations is subject to the current OMRI listing restrictions and USDA National Organic Program requirements. Both Curative and Curative Organic react with bicarbonate-bound and chloride-bound minerals so the reacted salts re-dissolve as available nutrition on rewetting, and both relieve sodium and chloride pressure through ion exchange.

Lowering pH with a conventional acid solubilizes bicarbonate and chloride bonds only temporarily; the salts acidified and unconsumed become more insoluble and gradually cement the soil. Curative Organic avoids that cycle and is formulated without sulfuric acid, urea or added plant nutrients (the SDS lists a trace of copper sulfate, under 0.1%).

PROBLEMS CURATIVE ORGANIC ADDRESSES

The same water and soil problems, with an OMRI Listed product.

01

Bicarbonates and hard water

Bicarbonate pressure and water hardness that tie up calcium and magnesium and cement the soil.

02

Sodium, chloride and boron

Accumulated salts that tighten the root zone and restrict leaching and infiltration.

03

Infiltration and nutrient availability

Crusting, ponding, sealing and poor soil operability tied to water-soil chemistry.

WHERE CURATIVE ORGANIC FITS

The core correction for organic agriculture.

In the WaterSOLV™ Agriculture program, Curative Organic takes the place of Curative wherever an OMRI Listed product is required. It is the clearest starting point for chemistry-driven infiltration, salt and water-quality issues in an organic production system, and it is delivered the same way: through the irrigation water at a rate set from the water analysis.

WITH BC

Where biology is involved

Curative Organic or Curative may run alongside WaterSOLV™ BC when biological buildup, black layer or low oxygen are part of the field problem.

DELIVERY

Through the irrigation system

Injected continuously through irrigation, with the FS-1 chemigation system where flow-proportional dosing is wanted.

TESTING BEFORE TREATMENT

The water analysis sets the rate, exactly as it does for Curative.

Legacy Analytical irrigation water analysis reads bicarbonate, hardness, calcium, magnesium, sodium, chloride and boron, and that sizes the program. Use rates and calculations are the same as Curative, so the same analysis serves both products.

01

Irrigation water analysis

Confirms the chemistry problem starts in the water and sets the rate.

02

Soil analysis

Available soil nutrition and total soil digestion show what is bound in the profile.

03

Bacteria count

Decides whether BC belongs in the program alongside Curative Organic.

IN THE WATER

Minerals stay soluble

Bicarbonate-bound minerals stay in solution through the lines.

IN THE SOIL

Salts detoxified

Sodium and chloride are addressed through ion exchange rather than flushing alone.

FOR THE CROP

Available nutrition

Reacted salts return as nutrition the crop can use.

IN THE FIELD

Organic and conventional results on the same chemistry.
