WaterSOLV™ Curative
WaterSOLV™ Curative is the core correction chemistry in the WaterSOLV™ program: an acid that works by ion exchange rather than pH suppression. Injected through irrigation water, it keeps bicarbonate-bound calcium and magnesium soluble, takes the pressure off sodium and chloride, and releases the nutrition the soil has already bound.
Used in the WaterSOLV™ Agriculture and Turf & Ornamental programs · Row and permanent crops, golf, sports turf, landscape and nurseries · Testing before treatment
WHAT IS WATERSOLV™ CURATIVE?
The chemistry that changes what minerals do after the water leaves the emitter.
Curative is a buffered, inhibited acid formulation that disassociates the bonds of bicarbonate and chloride permanently, so the reacted salts re-hydrate as available nutrition instead of drying into scale and cemented soil. It contains no sulfur, sulfate, urea, nitrogen or sodium.
Because it works on charge balance rather than a pH reading, the correction holds after the water is in the ground: up to 90% less product than an acid program, no fumes, burns or corrosive attack on equipment, and a rate set from the irrigation water analysis rather than a generic dose.

PROBLEMS CURATIVE ADDRESSES
Three water and soil problems Curative is used to correct.
WHERE CURATIVE FITS
One product, two programs, one injection point.
Curative is the first of three layers in both the Agriculture and Turf & Ornamental programs: condition the irrigation water at the source, release what is bound in the profile, then support the crop or turf. It goes in at the pump station through the same injection point an acid program uses, or through the FS-1 chemigation system.
TESTING BEFORE TREATMENT
The water analysis sets the Curative rate.
Legacy Analytical irrigation water analysis reads alkalinity as bicarbonate along with hardness, calcium, magnesium, sodium and chloride, and that is what sizes a Curative program. One almond block at 372 mg/l bicarbonate called for 4.21 ppm; a lighter source needs less. Prescription without diagnosis is guesswork, so testing comes first.
01
Irrigation water analysis
Bicarbonate, hardness, calcium, magnesium, sodium and chloride set the rate and confirm that Curative is the right product for the water.
02
Soil analysis
Available soil nutrition and total soil digestion show what is bound in the profile and whether stripping the soil is part of the job.
03
Bacteria count
A Bac-T count decides whether WaterSOLV™ BC is paired with Curative where biofilm and low oxygen are part of the restriction.
IN THE WATER
Minerals stay soluble
Scale-forming minerals stay in solution through the lines, emitters and heads.
IN THE SOIL
Bound nutrition released
Calcium, magnesium and tied-up nutrients go back into solution where the roots can use them.
FOR THE CROP OR TURF
Better infiltration
Water moves through the profile again, and the rest of the program follows.
