We’ve been on (WaterSOLV™) for our third year now.
I was skeptical. We had a couple blocks that we couldn't get water to penetrate. We would see the water come up on the berm and it would just puddle off. Dave Rose (WaterTek Ag) said he had new product, and that I was going to love it but I blew him off for about a month and he called me back (to follow up).
Production was slowly falling and so I said 'ok, I’ve got a block, lets try it in there'. And three months later I said pull out every acid tank we’ve got; let's do it all.
I watch what the plant is doing, what the vine looks like, what the tree looks like and how it’s uptaking.
Knowing it's there, having everybody come out and do soil samples and saying, ‘Oh yeah, you’re good! You've got everything!’ And yet you look at the plant and it's not responding because it can't pick it up.
We had cups down at the bottom of where the drippers were. We got in there and all my drip lines were plugged up. I had my guys flush it. We took off every riser, blew the lines out, we went to the end of the row where there was all kinds of calcium broken down and everything else that had been stuck in the lines.
From the underground lines to the drip tube; everything was gone. We opened it up and we had piles of scale.
It usually would take us a good day to a day and a half to check water. The guys would go through and find a sprinkler all plugged like this and all they would do is spray because they would be all plugged up with calcium.
Now the guys can go through with a bamboo stick and they drive along and tap any that are not working like they should be, instead of having to take them off and at 90 cents per piece replace them.
Like I said, a few months later, every acid tank on this ranch was gone and we are 100% WaterSOLV™ now.
It's a great product. I kinda swear by it now and I tell my neighbors to get off that acid. Get off that sulfurous acid!”
