It's My Only Park That's Green!
Five Month Turf Turnaround on WaterSOLV™ in Marana, AZ
"My guys have told me that these fields here are the hardest fields we have got in all of the parks. You can see how overused these fields are. There is no dormant Bermuda anymore. It had all been completely and totally run off by all of the soccer play and flag football that we’ve had over the winter.
When I got here two years ago the amount of turf that we had lost from this winter play, because we do not overseed, was a heck of a lot more than this and we were not green! This is no April fools joke! We were not green on April 1st.
We were at 24 degrees down here at least three times this winter. Just down the other side of the trees is the Santa Cruz River.
This is the coldest part of Marana right here and here I’ve got felids that are Midiron Bermuda grass that are green! I mean it’s crazy!
Two weeks ago we were moving foul poles over on the little league fields and then we started off on your product last year and I know we got overspray over there from the irrigation, no doubt, but when they dug down three feet and they were actually getting mud at three feet.
To think that this heavy soil out here could do that, I didn’t buy it. Because I don't have that in other places. Don’t get me wrong, I have moisture, but three feet down and I have mud?!
There has to be penetration down and actually get it flowing.
So you get the rain, you get the WaterSOLV™ and everything is set up to start going every third day. So by the time you come back, and you put that three days back on, you don't have any water settling, you don’t have puddles anywhere; it's all flowing through and once you get that flowing through everything goes with it.
When you do that and your guys are digging right down with the shovel. No problem getting down and I was told that we have never had that ability here. It was always let's go ahead and dig up, let’s get a portable jackhammer out here and try and get it loosened up and go down. So it’s definitely better.
If this is any indication of what we are going to get out of this for years to come, that’s pretty dang good.
I mean just look at it, we just started watering last week. That's the only park I’m using WaterSOLV™ in and it's my only park that's green and it's my coldest park! Gotta love it!"
